General

How long does it take to receive a quote?

Quotations for standard products are usually sent the same day but no later than the following business day. If we are in need of more information, a sales representative will contact you via the method chosen when submitting the RFQ. Quotations for non-standard (special) products may take additional days to process.

How long is my quote valid for?

All quotes are valid for a period of 30 days. In order to secure the price beyond the 30 day period, we must receive a purchase order within that 30 day period. Order processing can be postponed for up to 60 days after the 30 day period is up.

Order & Shipping

How do I check the status of my order?

There are many ways of checking the status of your order. You may e-mail your sales professional, fax a request or call us directly.

How does HTH ship my order?

Platform hoists usually ship via dedicated truck. Smaller items such as accessories and cable hoists usually ship via LTL common carrier. All orders ship freight collect unless other arrangements have been made with our shipping department.

Can I specify a different shipping method?

Yes! If you have a preferred carrier or would like to setup your own pickup, you may do so by coordinating with our shipping department a minimum of 2 days prior to scheduled shipping. If a change in carrier occurs less than 2 days of the scheduled ship date, a shipper change fee may be assessed.

Product

Do I have to be trained to use HTH hoists?

Yes. All operators and installers must be trained and authorized to operate a material hoist. Operators are fully responsible for the safety, operation, inspection and maintenance of the unit.

Are people allow to ride on the hoists?

No! HTH hoists are designed for material use only. Transporting people violates all safety codes and is strictly forbidden. A person is only allowed to ride a platform hoist during installation and dismantling with appropriate safety harnesses and ropes attached to the building. Contact a sales professional for further details.

What does 100% duty cycle mean?

Most hoists on the market require a cool down period to prevent the hoist from overheating. Not complying with this cool down period damages the hoist and can cause unexpected downtimes and cost. All HTH hoists have a continuous duty cycle which does not require a cool down period. This means the hoist can be operated at full capacity nonstop.
